A Love Letter to Stillness
When we first entered this space, it didn’t shout. It breathed.
The goal wasn’t to create a "modern living room." The goal was to create peace—through material, color, and emotion.
This was a project where design became therapy.
Why Terracotta? Why Now?
In a world of greys and glass, terracotta brings us back to earth.
We used it to:
Evoke calm
Anchor the light
Create a grounded warmth in an otherwise bright, chaotic city
And when paired with wooden slats, micro-texture finishes, and sculptural lights, it becomes more than décor—it becomes an emotion.
Design Elements That Make This Space Iconic
Ceiling: Acoustic wood-panel cladding with warm-back LED strip
Sofa: Custom-made sectional in desert-sand suede
Lighting: Diffused brass spotlighting + architectural profile light
Flooring: Honed Italian-finish vitrified tiles in soft matte
Walls: Texture painted with a hint of clay pigment, done by hand
The Client Brief? “Make Me Stay Here Forever.”
This wasn’t about entertaining guests. This was about making the homeowner fall in love with sitting still.
We achieved it by building depth without drama, and luxury without shouting.
“It feels like a resort in my own home. I’ve never felt calmer.”
— Sumit, Pashan, Pune
The Moodboard Behind This Space
Inspired by:
Desert luxury hotels in Abu Dhabi
Japanese silence principles (Ma: negative space)
Indian warmth—earth, brass, sunlight
This wasn’t just a living room.
This was a pause button, designed.
